Since foils are too fragile for use with handheld XRF instruments, plated standards are packaged in a unique manner to allow for use with handheld XRF products. The standard design allows the user to target the standard with or without video imaging, in order to calibrate portable XRF instruments for film thickness and materials analysis testing.
