Our composition pellets are mixes of compounds (usually oxides) powders that are compressed to form a solid pellet. These are used to calibrate hand held XRF instruments for composition analysis of similar samples prepared in the field. Example applications include alloy analysis, soil analysis, geological sample analyses and other
similar applications.
They may also be used to save element spectra in the instrument library for use spectrum profiles
used for deconvolution routines or to derive calibration sensitivity factors for semi-quantitative analysis using fundamental parameters. Such samples may also represent a practical “infinite” sample for certain elements which otherwise are too costly or not safe or practical to handle in pure elemental form (e.g., Br & Hg)
